Who we are.

This site and the Otti product are operated by Aiioy Technology Limited ("Otti", "we", "us"), the data controller. Contact: support@ottibot.com.

Data we collect.

•Waitlist & reservation: the name and email you submit; your referral activity.
•Payment: your $1 reservation is processed by Stripe — we never receive or store your card numbers.
•Analytics & cookies: usage data via Google Analytics (GA4) / Google Tag Manager, and KickoffLabs (waitlist/referral). These set cookies.
•Product (once you own an Otti device): the device's camera/microphone capture is processed and encrypted on-device; only encrypted, text-level memories sync to our cloud. We do not upload raw images or audio.

Cookies & analytics.

We use analytics cookies (GA4/GTM, KickoffLabs) to understand usage. You can disable cookies in your browser, and where required we present a cookie-consent banner so EU/UK visitors can opt in/out of non-essential cookies.

Sharing — processors we use.

We share data only with trusted processors to run the service: Stripe (payments), KickoffLabs (waitlist/referral), Google Analytics (analytics), and our email provider. We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers.

Your data may be processed outside your country (e.g., by the processors above). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

Data retention.

We keep waitlist/reservation data until you unsubscribe or request deletion, and no longer than [24 months] of inactivity, unless a longer period is legally required.

Security.

We use encryption (in transit and, for device memories, at rest), access controls, and reputable processors to protect your data. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures.

Children.

Otti's site and pre-launch program are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA); we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes.

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change and material changes will be notified.

$1 reservation.

$1 reservation is fully refundable anytime before the Kickstarter launch — email support@ottibot.com and we'll refund to your original payment method.

Kickstarter pledges.

Handled under Kickstarter's Terms of Use. You can typically cancel or change your pledge before the campaign ends. Once the campaign succeeds, funds go into production.

Blind-box outfits.

As blind-box items, outfits are not refundable once opened (disliking a randomly-drawn style is not a refund reason). Quality defects are covered — we'll exchange.

Warranty.

Otti hardware carries a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects from the delivery date (repair, replacement, or digital-life migration). This does not cover damage from misuse, accident, or unauthorized modification.

Acceptance.

By using this site, joining the waitlist, or making a $1 reservation, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility.

You must be the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have guardian consent) to make a reservation.

The service.

We provide a pre-launch waitlist, referral program, $1 reservation, and information about Otti. Features and timelines are estimates and may change.

1$ reservation.

The $1 reservation is an optional, refundable deposit to express interest and reserve early-bird priority. It is not a binding pre-order and does not guarantee stock; the actual purchase happens via Kickstarter (or our store).

Acceptable use.

Don't abuse the referral program (fake signups), attempt to breach security, or use the service unlawfully.

Disclaimers & liability.

The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aiioy Technology Limited is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Governing law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR; disputes are subject to its courts.
